This one-of-a-kind wall piece brings together materials gathered from different places, cultures, and moments in time—a weathered piece of driftwood from Canada, antique brass bells from India, smoky quartz, handmade glass beads, silk, leather, and natural jute.
I created it intuitively, allowing the shape of the driftwood and the character of each found element to guide the composition. The result is an earthy, tactile piece with a little bit of history, a little bit of mystery, and plenty of soul.
The bells move gently with the air, the crystals catch the light, and the natural materials soften and change with time.
